The town of Yarmouth is located in the
mid Cape Cod area. The real estate market in Yarmouth has seen a decrease
in sales and home values and an increase in bank and mortgage foreclosures
and real estate auctions. With Hyannis on one side and Dennis on the other,
the South Yarmouth area has many waterfront and waterview properties, cottages
and single family homes. There is a significant summer vacation rental
market where cottages and second homes can be found, which lends itself
to a higher foreclosure scenerio than in other areas.
The north side of Yarmouth is known
as Yarmouthport. Much of this area can be accessed by Route 6A and leads
to many of the northside beaches. There are antique homes, oceanfront properties,
